The falls are a collage of over 250 cascades, of
many different sizes, from a metre or two wide to
over 250 metres (800 ft) across, falling from as
high as 80 metres (265 ft), spread out along a vast
2.7 km (1.7 miles) semi-circle. These falls are
set in a natural, lucious, green tropical forest,
all plants and vegetation growing vigorously, with
few signs of civilisation. Birds, iguanas, lizards,
butterflies, an occasional monkey. Declared World
Heritage by UNESCO. |
